A few days ago I stopped by the cemetary where my father's ashes are kept, and took a moment to dust the grass from the marker and rest my fingers on the corners of the letters that spell out his name. Normally, on Memorial Day, she traveled to a lake some 100 miles from home to plant geraniums at the gravesites of her loved ones. This year, we'll be planting rose pink geraniums in my sister's yard and thinking about those family members who came before us--and that moment of silence is what connects us in time and place.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09461148136578592965noreply@blogger.com
